College Web Design Summer Internship Program 2021 (fully remote)

Trolley Web is accepting interns for our first ever Summer Internship Program.  With us, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, which utilize skills in a broad array of areas, including web design, graphic design, and digital marketing.  Stipend available upon completion of a basic training program and skills test. This is a fully remote internship.

• Get real world experience working with real clients
• Work collaboratively with other designers around the country

• Learn and practice. Take the test to both unlock the stipend and start working on real projects

Dates: June 21 through July 28th (6 week) 2021
Monday through Wednesday 10am-4:30pm
20 hours per week - Stipend of $100/week once unlocked

The stipend is not a wage, but does count toward the total income on which the intern’s tax obligation is based. Interns electing to receive the stipend will complete IRS Form W‐9 Request for Tax‐Payer Identification as self‐employed and will receive a Form 1099 at the end of the year that reports the amount of income from the stipend. No taxes are withheld from the stipend.

Learn: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Figma, Bootstrap, Storytelling, principles of digital marketing

Necessary skills for this program:

• Experience in Bootstrap
• Proficiency in CSS and some experience in Less, SASS, or SCSS
• Ability to make mockups - either as sketches, or in programs such as Figma, Adobe XD, InDesign, or other similar software.
• Eye for modern design with attention to small details
• Familiarity in website architecture
• Nice to have: Understanding of how to integrate open source JS plugins

Soft skills:

• Fast working and accurate with attention to detail
• Eager and dedicated learner
• Willing to push themselves to be better every day
